The War of 1812
This seems to have completed the organization in the territory. There may have been many changes in the Military Department, but nothing of record is found until the publication of the following order:
ADJUTANT GENERAL'S OFFICE,
Headquarters at Detroit,
General Orders. April 22,1811.
The Commander-in-Chief has thought proper to establish the following limits to the four companies of militia composing the battalion on the Rivers Huron (now Clinton River) and St. Clair, :
I. On the River St. Clair, the company commanded by Captain Francis Bonhomme, to commence at the lower end oŁ Lake Huron and descend on the River St. Clair to the mouth of Belle River.
Lieutenant George Minie and Ensign Jean B. Racine are attached to this company.
