Twenty-Sixth Regiment Infantry
On the 22d it marched to the Weldon railroad, and until the 24th was employed in the destruction of that road, near Beam's Station. On the 25th it was engaged in the battle at the latter point, assisted in repelling the repeated assault of the enemy, and after the works were taken by the rebels, participated in the charge in which they were retaken. Its loss in the action was 3 wounded and 14 missing.
