The casualties of the regiment during the month of November were 4 killed, 4 mortally wounded, 17 severely wounded, and 29 missing; total, 54. The regiment marched on the 7th of December in pursuit of the retreating enemy, following him to Rutledge, whence, after remaining in camp three days, it fell back to Blain's Cross Roads, where it encamped until the 16th of January, 1864,
