Returning to Chattanooga the regiment threw a bridge across the river at that place on the 25th, and on the 1st of December moved its camp to the foot of Lookout mountain, and was employed until the 16th in repairing the railroad and the railroad bridges. At the latter date
the regiment moved into Chattanooga, where it was employed in building storehouses, and similar duty.
