' At noon of the 16th we marched from Atlanta and followed along the line of the Augusta railroad, passing through Decatur, Lithonia, and Covington, destroying the railroad. From this point we marched to Mil-ledgeville, passing within four miles of Eatonton. Arrived at Milledgeville November 24th, and found the 20th army corps had reached there a day or two previous.
