TENTH REGIMENT INFANTRY
A correspondent of the Louisville Journal writes:
"With their furloughs in their pockets, and preparations made to visit their dear ones at home, from whom they had been parted so long, the bugles on the 25th of the month just passed found the 10th responsive, with flags unfurled, and on the march for the battle field. Under Morgan at Buzzard's Roost they fought with the 60th Illinois beneath the the shadows of Cowering Rocky Face, carrying their colors to the enemy's very works through a murderous fire of infantry and artillery, losing twenty-five killed and wounded, among whom is Lieutenant Colonel Dickerson, then in command of the regiment.
