Civil War
TENTH REGIMENT INFANTRY
At an engagement between the troops under my command and the rebel forces at Buzzard's Boost, Georgia, in February, 1864, this regiment and its com mander, Colonel Dickerson, took a leading position in one of the severest little fights of the war. Colonel Dickerson, on this occasion, was wounded and fell into the hands of the enemy. His courage and that of his regiment were very conspicuous. "
