NINETEENTH REGIMENT INFANTRY

This force moved up the Columbia road. The 85th and 23d, with one section of the battery, occupied a hill on the right of the road, near Thompson's Station, on the Franklin railroad, while the 19th Michigan and 22d Wisconsin, with the other section of the battery, occupied the hill on the left.
" The rebels at first opened a brisk fire from two batteries in front of the position occupied by our troops. After an hour's cannonading Colonel Coburn brought up the 33d and 85th Indiana and ordered a charge upon the station, where the rebels were concealed in and around the houses.
