FOURTH REGIMENT INFANTRY
On the 1st of May the regiment crossed the Rappahannock river, and camped near Brandy Station, and thence on the 3d marched to Culpepper. On the morning of the 4th it started from Culpepper to participate in the summer campaign, crossing the Rapidan at Germania Ford. On the 5th, 6th, and 7th, the regiment participated in the battles of the Wilderness.
