FOURTH REGIMENT INFANTRY
On a beautiful spot of ground near the quarters of the 4th, known as "Camp Williams, " in the suburbs of the city of Adrian, on the 21st day of June, in the presence of thousands of people, the regiment in full dress was formed in a hollow square, inside of which Mrs. W. S. Wilcox, in behalf of the ladies of Adrian, in a few well chosen words, presented the command with an elegant regimental flag. It was received by the men with cheers, and in their behalf was acknowledged in a brief but fitting speech by Colonel D. A. Woodbury, in which he said: "In whatever position we may be assigned, with our banner to cheer us, we will strive to do our duty as American soldiers.
