FOURTH REGIMENT INFANTRY

JNO. ROBERTSON, Adjutant General.
In an order under date of June 10th, the complement of field officers of the 7th was completed by the appointment of F. M. Winans as lieutenant colonel and Wm. M. Fenton as major. The camp was organized and commanded by Brigadier General Alpheus S. Williams, with Colonel James E. Pittman, Major Wm. D. Wilkins, and Captain Henry M. Whittlesey as assistants. It continued until August 1st following, when it was broken up and the officers and non-commissioned officers were ordered to various localities to recruit they: respective companies.
