I here met Lieutenant Colonel Harnden, of the 1st Wisconsin Cavalry, who informed me that with a force of 70 men was following on the track of the train, and that his men were from one to two hours in advance, and as Colonel H. said he had ample force to contend with that supposed to be with the train, I decided not to move on the same road with him and Continued my course three miles further down the river, where I learned additional facts reguarding the character of the train and the parties with it, which convincedm that it belonged to some of the partiees for whom we were looking, and at once
