American Civil War

Fourteenth Regiment Infantry

After the evacuation of Corinth the regiment moved with Buell's army along the Memphis & Charleston railroad. It was afterwards stationed at Tuscum-bia, Ala., and on the 1st of September joined in the famous race of Buell and Bragg for Louisville, Ky. The regiment was however halted at Nashville to aid in holding that important point. In October it was assigned to the 1st brigade, 2d division (Jeff C. Davis's), 14th corps, in which it served during the entire war.
