Civil War Cavalry
They made several prisoners, and captured some valuable property in the shape of horses, flour, and cloth. We were detained there until the 10th, when we marched for Berryville, reaching there the same day. At Berryville we remained until the 12th, when we made a moonlight march for Winchester, arriving at midnight.
" In all of these marches some of the companies have been constantly in the advance, and every town they reached they charged through.
