Eleventh Regiment Infantry

On the 14th it participated in the engagement at Resaca, and on the 27th at New Hope church, where it remained eight days, holding an exposed position, and almost constantly under fire. During the month its loss was four killed and eight wounded. The enemy having evacuated his works at New Hope Church, on the 5th of June, and retreated to Kenesaw Mountain, the regiment assisted in the pursuit to that point. It was here frequently engaged in skirmishing, and under a heavy artillery fire, its loss in the month of June being two killed and five wounded.
