It participated in the battle of Peach Tree Creek on the 20th, in connection with Newton's division of the 4th corps. On the 22d it moved to near Atlanta. Taking position in the line of works, it took part in the siege until the 25th of August with the loss of 1 killed August 6th, 1 wounded on the 10th, and 1 wounded on the 13th.
