Thence it proceeded to Goldsboro, arriving there on the 24th, and leaving that point on the 12th of April, it reached Raleigh on the 14th, and started for Petersburg, Va., on the 29th, arriving there' May 7th. On the 13th it passed through Richmond, arriving at Alexandria on the 19th, and participated in the review of General Sherman's army at Washington, D. C, on the 24th. On the 30th and 31st, its battery was turned over to the ordnance department, at Washington, and on the first of June the officers and men left for Michigan; arriving at Detroit on the 6th, they were mustered out of service on the 14th, and soon after were paid off and disbanded.
